The Chaplain's Corner
Spring brings new changes and events for the Chaplaincy Ministry. Deaconess Intern, Candy Brassfield, will be joining the Chaplaincy Ministry in July. Candy is the third Deaconess Intern student sent to us from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, IN. She is married to Joel, who is a third year seminary student. They have two boys, Easton and Flanagan. Candy is also studying for her Masters Degree in counseling through Concordia University, Mequon. Come and meet the Brassfield's at the Chaplaincy Fundraising Picnic on Sunday, June 27th at the Fairgrounds in Plymouth. Candy will be installed after the Worship Service there.
It's PICNIC time again! Come and join the fun at the Ministry Fundraising Picnic at the Fairgrounds in Plymouth on Sunday, June 27, 2010. This year's theme is "Under the Big Top" with the circus theme having clowns, balloons, Camel rides, face painting, jugglers, acrobats, great food, music and circus treats. The day begins at 10:30 AM with a Worship Service lead by Pastor Tom as the Ring Master. Deaconess Candy Brassfield will be installed at the Intern for the year and food will be served after that, including elephant ears, cotton candy and Culvers Custard. At 12:30 PM, see "Great Scott" the Christian Magician and Illusionist. Camel rides are from 1:30 - 3:30 PM, along with Bingo, Silent Auction and Health Care displays.
